we had a great time at residence inn. the one-bedroom suite was perfect for us. breakfast was decent, with free snacks daily in the lobby, which really added a nice touch. the location was convenient, close to attractions that we wanted to visit. the staff was responsive and helpful with our requests.

Spacious stay with a few hiccups

We had a great 2-night stay! The room was super spacious, felt cozy, and the kitchen was a nice touch. Pool was a blast for the kids! However, we had a major issue with no towels on arrival, and we had to change rooms after a leak in the bathroom. Breakfast was decent but kinda cramped.

Additionally, the breakfast experience could use an overhaul. making waffles required long waits due to high demand, which became frustrating with a crowd. Other minor details like worn furniture and bathroom upkeep also muddled the experience.

The Residence Inn By Marriott Williamsburg is beautifully decorated and offers easy access to all areas, making it convenient for seniors like myself. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the cleanliness of the facility truly impressed me.

The location near William & Mary was great, making it easy to visit my daughter. The spacious two-bedroom suite fit my family perfectly. Unfortunately, the bedding in the main bedroom smelled sour, like it had been left damp in the washer. Housekeeping staff wasn’t on duty that evening. We did get new bedding but received only a small blanket instead of a duvet. The phone in the main bedroom was missing buttons, making it difficult to use. Upon entering, there was an unpleasant odor. We even found small bites on our ankles, which raised some concerns. Thin towels added to the discomfort. The breakfast offerings were decent, with easy-to-grab morning snacks, but the dining area felt cramped. The lack of lamps in the living area made it hard to have proper lighting. Overall, the potential was there, but the cleanliness and maintenance issues really detracted from the experience.
